# Upgrade Nightfall DLP for Salesforce

You can choose to upgrade Nightfall DLP for Salesforce from one of the following methods.

* [From Nightfall Console](#upgrading-from-the-nightfall-console)
* [From Within Salesforce](#upgrading-from-within-salesforce)

## **Upgrading From the Nightfall Console**

Upgrading the Nightfall package is the same as that to install Nightfall package for the first time in a Salesforce org. To upgrade from Nightfall’s console,

1. Login into Nightfall console <https://app.nightfall.ai>
2. Select **Salesforce** under **My Integrations**.&#x20;

3. Click **Add Org** (In the following image three Salesforce orgs are already configured. If you are adding a Salesforce org for the first time, you will not see any org added).

4. Select either **Production** or **Sandbox** options. You must select the option in which you wish to upgrade the Nightfall for Salesforce DLP.
5. Click **Continue**.

6. Click **Install**.

6. Login to the Salesforce environment in which you wish to upgrade the Nightfall DLP.&#x20;
7. Select **Install for Admins** **Only** to install the upgrade package only to Salesforce admin users.&#x20;
8. Click **Upgrade**.

Once the upgrade is completed, you can view the following screen. Click **Done**.

## **Upgrading from Within Salesforce**

To upgrade from within Salesforce

1. Navigate to the [Salesforce App Exchange site](https://appexchange.salesforce.com/).

2. Login to your Appexchange account.&#x20;
3. Use the search bar to find the Nightfall app.
4. Select the **Nightfall - Data Security and Compliance** app.

5. Click **Get It Now**.&#x20;

6. Select the connected Salesforce **Production** or **Sandbox** org in which you wish to upgrade the package.
7. Click **Install in Production** or **Install in Sandbox,** based on the selection you made in the previous step.

8. Agree to the Terms and Conditions check box and click **Confirm and Install.**

You are redirected to the Salesforce login page.

9. Log in to the selected Salesforce account you selected in step 7.&#x20;

10. Select **Install for Admins** **Only** to install the upgrade package only to Salesforce admin users.&#x20;
11. Click **Upgrade**.&#x20;

Once the upgrade is completed, you can view the following screen. Click **Done**.
