# Setting up Jira as an Alert Platform

The Jira alert platform is installed automatically once you install the [DLP for Jira](https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226823/dlp-for-jira-nightfall-ai?hosting=cloud\&tab=overview) app.  You can refer to [this document](https://help.nightfall.ai/nightfall-ai/nightfall-for-jira/getting-started/installing-nightfall-for-jira) to learn more about how to install the app. Once the app is installed, you can use Jira as an alert platform.
